The 2023 class of the US Army War College, Carlisle, PA is on the hunt for a home-away-from-home or extended stay lodging for the next class year. Our home at 30 Timber Road can provide comfortable housing for students who are “baching it.”
When a USAWC student is moving to the Carlisle area without their family, one term used to describe them is “geo-bachelor.” This situation often applies to families who are located within a two-hour drive from Carlisle at duty stations such as are located in the Washington DC area. Officers of the Army National Guard or federal civilian employees are also often “geo-bachelors” because they do not want to uproot their families for the duration of the 10-month program.
More and more medical personnel are traveling for job assignments. As traveling nurses continue to fill open positions across the country, they are looking for a quiet, comfortable place to “crash” after a 12-hour shift. Our B&B can be “just what the doctor ordered” for a place to call “home” when medical personnel have assignments in Camp Hill, Mechanicsburg, Carlisle, and even Harrisburg, PA.
For all these extended-stay guests, the full wet bar is a great option for heating up a quick meal. The units are equipped with a small refrigerator, a microwave oven, a small coffee maker, and all the dishes and utensils needed to be comfortable. The units have a king size bed, desk, cable TV, WiFi, and the rate also includes a weekly cleaning service!
Check out our property on GoogleMaps to see how convenient our location is to major routes (I-81 and I-76) but still rural enough to be quiet.
