What’s happening in the Mechanicsburg area this weekend?

A visit to south central Pennsylvania this weekend will provide you with lots of fun activities. For you history buffs, Gettysburg will offer a special “Evening with The Painting” which includes a discussion of the famous cyclorama painting of the Battle of Gettysburg. Learn about the preservation of our nation’s largest painting and see some “behind the scenes” areas where the design and props make the scenes seem almost real. This special presentation will be happening on 2/28 at 5 pm.

If you are looking forward to spring, The PA Garden Expo will be the place to go this weekend! Get new ideas for decorating your deck or designing your landscaping. You can also here short seminar sessions on particular gardening topics. The Garden Expo will be held at the PA Farm Show Complex – just a short drive from 30 Timber Road Bed & Breakfast. While you’re at the Farm Show complex, check out the Harrisburg RV and Camping Show. I know you really want to stay at a B&B, but the latest RVs are interesting to tour anyway.

The First Annual Amateur Film Festival will be happening at The Carlisle Theatre on Saturday, February 28th at 2:00 pm. Admission is FREE for ten (10) short films submitted by local amateur filmmakers ranging in age from high school students to adults. One of these talented film makers may be a future winner at some major film festival, and you may have seen them first right here in south central PA.

Come to the Mechanicsburg area this weekend for a quiet winter getaway, some history about Gettysburg, or to really cure your spring fever. Whatever you’re looking for, you will say that you “Found It” here near our B&B.
